As 8tung writes - carry it in like it has always been at your side! But do some cost research before you buy overseas as a load of electronic stuff and software is cheaper in SA as I discovered after buying a graphics tablet in the UK!

I suppose it will exceed the value of R3000? Otherwise it would fall within your duty free allowance. But usually when I go overseas I have one suitcase only and one handbag. They like to stop people who carry a lot of luggage, they've never stopped me before (not that I actually spend enough though, but how do they know?) ... Travel as light as possible.
