Do you or friend have really naughty children. Which is the best way to discipline them?
Two little boys, ages 8 and 10, were
excessively mischievous. They were always
getting into trouble and their parents knew all about it.
If any mischief occurred in their town,
the two boys were probably involved.
The boys' mother heard that a preacher
in town had been successful in disciplining children,
so she asked if he would speak with her boys.
The preacher agreed, but he asked to see
them individually. So the mother sent the 8 year old first,
in the morning, with the older boy to see
the preacher in the afternoon.
The preacher, a huge man with a booming
voice, sat the younger boy down and asked him sternly,
'Do you know where God is, son?'
The boy's mouth dropped open , but he
made no response, sitting there wide-eyed
with his mouth hanging open.
So the preacher repeated
the question in an even sterner tone,
'Where is God?'
Again, the boy made no attempt to answer.
The preacher raised his voice even more and shook
his finger in t

the question in an even sterner tone,

The preacher raised his voice even more and shook
his finger in the boy's face and bellowed, 'Where is God?'
The boy screamed and bolted from the
room, ran directly home and dove into his closet,
slamming the door behind him.
When his older brother found him in the
closet, he asked, 'What happened?'
The younger brother, gasping for breath,
replied,'We are in BIG trouble this time,'
( I just LOVE reading this next line again and again: )
'GOD is missing, and they think we did it!'

The only way to dicipline naughty children, is to do it the old fashioned way. SPANK THEM!

This was nice, I like the last line as well. Shame the poor boys...Luckily I don't know REALLY naughty children but bribery or just a spanking at the right time may help.

Good question - today's children lack discipline in more ways than one. My partners daughter always eats with her mouth open - and after a year - i see red! She just does not get it. Parents of today - or modern parenting as it is seen - i wish them all good luck, it is not easy.

Haha nice one Alicia. Sadly discipline seems to have gone out the window.

Good one. I do not care whose children it is, when you are at my house its my rules. I make it very clear and don't give a rats if parents get upset with me. My kids and my grandkids were all brought up to have manners and I expect the same of other peoples kids in my house. Funny enough I have never had any problems probably because I don't beat around thebush and come straight to the point.

my husband's brother has naughty children. their parents dont discipline them. they irritate the day lights of everyone. i just avoid going to their house, and i make excuses when they want to come to my house with their children cos they always break things in my house.

I agree with Duits and with Louise. my daughter gets a spanking if she needs one. Some friends become upset when I say :"No we do not play with pens and clay now" but tough.

Loved that story. I am glad that my children are all grown up now but when they were small they were punished for any wrongs. We had certain rules and nobody whether it is a friend of theirs was allowed to run in the house, jump on beds, leave toys lying around and they were not allowed to play with sticks - I have seen a kiddie who had his one eye poked out by a stick.
